RECREATIONAL PROGRAM

Practices for the Recreational program start July 27 and continue through the last full week of October before we “fall back” to Pacific Standard Time on the first Sunday of November
Practices are two nights a week on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday on various fields at parks and schools in Folsom (based on the coach’s preference). Practice days, times, and locations cannot be selected by parents/players or guaranteed by the Club
Practice times adjust throughout the season due to reduced sunlight

For U5-U8, games are played within Folsom and potentially a limited number of games at Pecan Park in Orangevale. A pre-season Jamboree is scheduled for August 8 for this age. More details to follow.
For U9-U14, games are played within Folsom and near-by communities like Orangevale, Rancho Cordova, El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, Placerville, etc.
For U15-U19, games are played in the California Youth Soccer Association District VI CPL at various locations in Folsom and Northern California. Visit District VI’s website for location details
Game schedules are typically released in mid August and October depending on your age group
Team and player pictures usually take place mid September based on photographer availability
Teams will experience one or two BYE weeks off for holiday and reseeding
Team Placement
Unlike other sports clubs in the area, we try to keep our Recreational teams together as much as possible from year to year when families register during early bird and regular registration. When families register late, returning players are placed on a wait-list and not guaranteed a spot on their previous team.
Teams are placed into age groups and divisions in order to place teams with similar skills and abilities
Recreational Uniforms
U5 through U8 players must wear a High 5 red/white reversible jersey
U9 through U19 players must have one Nike white jersey and one Nike red jersey
Each player must wear black Nike shorts and red Nike socks
Each player must wear shin guards and soccer cleats are encouraged for better traction
The home team wears the white uniform in Folsom
The Folsom Soccer Club strives to project an image of community. The uniform plays an integral part in forging the club’s identity and pride of the organization. This can only be accomplished if all Folsom Soccer Club teams wear the designated club uniform so that no matter what age group, no matter what the occasion, the team can be readily identified as representing the Folsom Soccer Club.
All items of the uniform kit must be in the designated colors. Any variance of color cannot be worn or used at any event in which the player or team is representing Folsom Soccer Club.
FSC Rec Uniforms can be ordered at the Folsom Soccer Club Store starting July 15.
Orders will be fulfilled by the Folsom Lake Soccer League Office starting August 1. You will receive an email notifying you when your order is ready to be picked up.
